Election Districts

The Department of City Planning and the Board of Elections in the City of new York maintain Election Districts in the New York City Street Centerline Database.

Due to state law no reapportionment can be done within two years of the decennial census. The next update to election district lines will likely not be until the end of 2020. However boundaries occasionally realign to match edits in the underlying geography.

The General Published (but not public!) Citywide Street Centerline (CSCL) Geodatabase maintained by the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications contains an Election Districts feature class that is not clipped to shoreline. The record count is slightly different from the Open Data download above with differences apparently related to water bodies.
