What's Changed

  • Added a HUD Options menu for managing customization while in-game. (Thanks @Hypnootize and @PapaPeach, #156)
    • The menu is accessible via the gear icon on the top-right corner of the main menu.
    • Customizations include:
      • Changing the damage numbers font.
      • Displaying the last-done damage value.
      • Toggling transparent viewmodels (mastercomfig add-on required).
      • Toggling the speedometer (Credit to @quickkennedy).
      • Toggling the spy's disguise outline.
      • Toggling the 3D player model.
      • Changing the number of killfeed rows.
      • Managing the custom crosshair (Credit to @Hypnootize)
  • Added missing GUI icons for pd_selbyen (Thanks @aarmastah, #154)

Changelog (2023/02/20)

  • Consolidated the workshop and community branches. All HUD changes submitted to Valve can now be found on the main branch.
  • Following community contributed changes can be enabled by copying them from the .extras folder into the root HUD directory.
  • Converted all .res files to UNIX line endings by @hkva (#98)
  • Fixed MvM text cut-off for tour counts with more than 2 digits by @hkva (#104)
  • Fixed inconsistencies with item effect and counter meters by updating them to use #base.
  • Fixed the 3D player model on the scoreboard not displaying correctly after a HUD refresh.
  • Increased the size of the demoman's sticky counter in minmode.
  • Updated multiple panels to use a TF2-themed fonts and higher-quality item images.
  • Updated the Class Selection screen to allow for rotating of the 3D player model.
  • Updated the base HUD files to the latest live version.

The community pack in this release has been updated with the following changes:

  • Added an outline to the respawn timer when using the match HUD.
  • Changed the ammo icon seen on the TargetID. (#71)
  • Fixed the ammo cutoff seen for certain weapon when playing on Linux. (#50)
  • Fixed the health cutoff on the TargetID and above player's heads. (#75, #76)
  • Fixed the player list appearing slanted when spectating in Mann vs. Machine mode. (#74)
  • Increased the size of the chat font for non-Windows platforms. (Contributed by @hkva)

  • Added minmode UI variants for Capture the Flag, Player Destruction and PASS Time.
  • Added shortcut keys for navigating between certain screens. Q is forward and E is back.
    • These work on the backpack, item selection and screens seen when joining a server.
  • Changed the style of the damage numbers and player health seen throughout the HUD.
  • Fixed item containers in the quickswitch panel appearing misaligned. (Fixed by @Marxvee)

  • Removed unused labels for "style" and "paint" seen when previewing an map stamp in the store.
  • Updated the color of the in-game chat to better match the source scheme.
  • Updated the damage numbers to use a larger sized font.
