User Observations

These are observations of people using the interface and having issues, errors, difficulties and ideas.

From this list, we will decide on feature and bug fixes. Just because something is on the list does not mean it will get fixed immediately.

Was able to accomplish the task with a little bit of difficulty.

page size (scrolls)
entering data - is making some judgment calls about calendar page
chose to enter Dorkbot
worked with an escaped email address
activity level empty
entered address, expected it to put a point on the map
missed 'categories' first time around
map graphic is opaque and really big
PHP error (need to turn off in settings.)
Preview not working (turn it off)
Expanded more button
Feature: when click "Add" - ask to sign in to be able to edit - unless they want to be anonymous
clicking around after editing node took out of blockwatch context
map not zooming as expected (could have some feedback)
search - needs a full text search as an option on the categories page
category page - ajax error
google geocoder - needs friendly error message
category search - searching with search results needs clearing
1 result (not 1 results)
searched for rain gardens, then weather
categories: sort by 'most popular' or tag cloud - doesn't care about alphabetical

Was able to add a group, with just a little bit of difficulty.

Map: got stuck and wound up submitting the form because she couldn't make it stop.
Did see hover state for shape drawing interface
Add an area instead of Add a polygon
FEATURE IDEA: point marker instead of circle (need to update the openlayers style -- do this after upgrading to better openlayers)
Clicked every grey box that was a tool tip
Entered "Banana Splits" a group for kids of divorced parents.
Description text area seems small and it should be up higher in the form.
Added a link to an image but seemed confused about it that was the right thing to do.
Wasn't sure what Audience Size referred to
