To my understanding the right link is: https://mov.im/community/news.xmpp.org I don't understand why there is a newsletter link, too? And I did indeed post something here: ![]() CC: @edhelas |
The XSF being an organization I advised to move to a Movim Community (Pubsub Node) instead of an account that was previously hosted on my personal XMPP server (@movim.eu). This was an issue for me as I don't want to host official XSF content and being reponsible of them. The XSF Newsletter is at news.xmpp.org/Newsletter but it seems that you're using also a [email protected] account to post news there. I'd still advise to use the news.xmpp.org/Newsletter to post the Newsletter and not published them on [email protected]. news.xmpp.org/Newsletter being a "Community" (Pubsub Node) it is more adapted to your needs I guess:
|
Ok, but how should I post then news in general? We are not publishing Newsletter only? |
Just a guess .. but you are thinking that something like news.xmpp.org/Blog would be more suitable .. |
For the moment I prefer to just have one feed for everything. We don't have the capacity to add more feeds we need to maintain. |
@nemmig @Echolon Feel free to name it wherever you want, you should know that the name of the node is CaseSentitive. And yes I'd suggest to put everything on the Community and leave the [email protected] posts empty, you can also directly publish on the Community using your XMPP account if you put it as a Redactor :) This is how I do it for the Movim Blog: https://mov.im/community/pubsub.movim.eu/Movim (you can compare the layout from my personal blog https://mov.im/blog/edhelas it is quite different). |
I see I need to get used to it. Tough, why do one not see the post I made here? https://mov.im/community/news.xmpp.org |
I think that's because that's the pubsub.service and not the pubsub.node .. Edit: where the .node would be Newsletter or Blog or whatever you decide to name it |
@Echolon Just for the record: I can s/Newsletter/Blog in all those files no problem if you want me to. EDIT: maybe we could even call it /XSF ... so the Blog title would be XSF Blog, just in https://mov.im/community/pubsub.movim.eu/Movim Movim Blog to XSF Blog @edhelas may correct me if I'm getting this wrong |
@nemmig Just try it out, play with it :) I'm sure you'll find out the perfect way to setup this Community ;) |
What's the status here? |
D'oh! I only wanted to remove the diff from my PR, not the whole darn file! No not merge 6af29f5 |
We probably need to wait for @Echolon to be back online and decide what he wants to do. As it stands, everything seems to be in place and ready to start working and publishing the news about the Newslettter under: https://mov.im/community/news.xmpp.org/Newsletter |
Now all previous links to the Movim account, that I could find, point to the right direction: https://mov.im/community/news.xmpp.org/Newsletter
