- Create a branch with your name
Don't worry about forking, just work on the repository that you've already cloned.

- Merge latest changes from master to update your local branch to the latest state
- move your file to the appropriate alphabetized folder
- commit changes
- create pull request
- after pull request has been and merged cleanup local reference clean up local reference (git prune) and delete local branch
