Summary of Changes

Hello @guanshengliang, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request integrates changes from the 3.3.6 to 3.3.8 branch, focusing on refining core functionalities. It includes a critical correction to the connection type used for TMQ consumer initialization and an enhancement to error handling within metadata table operations, leading to more robust and predictable system behavior.

Highlights

  • TMQ Consumer Connection Type Correction: The connection type used during the initialization of a TMQ consumer in tmq_consumer_new has been corrected from CONN_TYPE__TMQ to CONN_TYPE__QUERY.
  • Metadata Table Column Drop Error Handling: Improved error handling in metaDropTableColumn by adding TAOS_RETURN(code); to ensure an immediate return of the error code after freeing resources when an error occurs during table column drop operations.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request merges changes from the 3.3.6 branch to the 3.3.8 branch, containing two targeted bug fixes. In clientTmq.c, the connection type for a new TMQ consumer is changed from CONN_TYPE__TMQ to CONN_TYPE__QUERY, which is likely a fix to align with server-side connection handling updates. In metaTable2.c, a return statement is added within an error handling block in the metaDropTableColumn function, correctly preventing a fall-through that could lead to a double-free of a pointer. Both changes appear correct and improve the robustness of the code. No issues were found in this review.
