This feature request improves the experience of editing uploaded profile pictures. It moves away from button based to mouse based editing. To pan the image click and move. If the image is larger than the preview area an opaque overflow is shown outside of the preview area. To zoom in on the image use the mouse scroll wheel.
Touch is also supported.
