I've been releasing email related open source ever since 2003 when I published my first project, a WAP-based POP3 client for mobile browsers written in PHP. Once Node.js got popular I've been constantly releasing new projects and updates to existing ones, all related to email in Node.js. Nodemailer, mailparser, WildDuck IMAP server and so on. If you have used a Node.js project or service that uses email then there's a great chance you've using my code somewhere under the hood.

Reaching this goal would fully cover all my server costs. I run multiple custom email servers for testing and development, including https://ethereal.email/, which processes millions of test emails every day.
