7.3.x to 7.4.x Upgrade Guide

Before the upgrade

Before upgrading to Directorist v7.4.x, please keep in mind that, v7.4.0 has some critical changes which might affect your current website. We recommend you test the upgrade on the staging site first before applying it on the production site.

How to test the upgrade

In directorist v7.4.0, we have refactored all the codes related to icons, so that icons can load faster than before. While testing, you should check if all the icons are displaying correctly on your website.

Things to do after the upgrade

• If you are using any directorist theme or extension, you must update them as well.
• If you see any icon missing, please set the icon from the admin panel again and see if the issue is resolved. Example screenshot: https://prnt.sc/QGzs6DkmnXHk
• If you have outdated directorist templates in your theme, you or your developer should add compatibility to those templates. You can check the outdated templates from here(screenshot): https://prnt.sc/1sNL5XlSzPZR
• If your icon style has been modified by custom CSS, you might have to change that CSS.
