given this function don't print, let's use a name less misleading.
Relates to JIRA: DISCOVERY-452
The server endpoint for merging had its workflow streamlined, removing duplicate funcionality from report upload endpoint. Code was adjusted accordingly. Also, remove of merge-status command, given it is essentially the same thing as job status. Relates to JIRA: DISCOVERY-452
