The uuid package seems to only be used in the client code once for generating a v4 uuid, every major browser now supports crypto.randomUUID, the uuid package isn't particularly required anymore

It has become abundantly clear that my time and effort is better spent making updates and maintaining the software on an independent fork. It is disappointing to see such a large and popular piece of software languish without a modicum of effort put into even basic maintenance for long term stability.

My limited time is better spent working on a fork where I can make updates and not see them languish for weeks at a time.

I wish this project well.
