I added some basic references to the changes. A comprehensive example in clara-examples would probably go a long way toward clearing up any confusion here, but putting that sort of example in code blocks here seemed excessive. When we add such such an example we can link to it here though. I logged oracle-samples/clara-examples#15 to track that work.

Since I've released 0.18.0 with these changes I'm going to go ahead and merge this. We can iterate later, such as by adding examples to the clara-examples project, but I'd prefer to have the documentation be accurate even if a bit rough now that the changes are released.
