The viewer.html can be rendered to include results in-line for use in something like spyglass, but it also acts as a standalone single page browser application for use in the browser to load an OpenShift Test Extension.

This adds support for reading JUnit XML as well.

To use this, load pkg/extension/extensiontests/viewer.html in your browser directly, and you'll get a file selector. You can then use it to view a local OTE JSON or JUnit XML.
