What

  • Why: convert some of the users into contributors and into Country Manager
  • What: We have country pages on the Wiki, which follow a scheme
  • Generate a link from current app country following the scheme, and expose it like "Help improve Open Food Facts in your country"
  • Hopefully people will read, edit and/or create the pages
  • https://wiki.openfoodfacts.org/Country_Support_-_Mexico

Current pages

  • [[Country Support - Argentina]]
  • [[Country Support - Australia]]
  • [[Country Support - Canada]]
  • [[Country Support - China]]
  • [[Country Support - Europe]]
  • [[Country Support - France]]
  • [[Country Support - Germany]]
  • [[Country Support - India]]
  • [[Country Support - Italy]]
  • [[Country Support - Japan]]
  • [[Country Support - Mexico]]
  • [[Country Support - Netherlands]]
  • [[Country Support - Spain]]
  • [[Country Support - Russia]]
  • [[Country Support - South Korea]]
  • [[Country Support - United States]]

And we want it to link to the country that the user has set up

Could be done at openfoodfacts-dart level: for each Country, return the Country Support link (or null).

Hey @teolemon what icon should I use for this job? I don't think the Flutter icon class has a globe. Also, how do I go about added a string to localization files? Is there a system in place for that or a tool OFF uses?

we could put the flag of said country, or a material globe.
