pid doesnt work correct?

after using tanh same days i try to test pid. but first of all: i hat to add climate_id: PID_CH${channel_number} 4times and change default_target_temperature:_low to default_target_temperature

PID was not tested very long on my side.
Do you have set filtering as recommended in https://github.com/nliaudat/floor-heating-controller/wiki/heating_channel_PID ?

sorry for the late reply and the confusion.
I seem to have made a mistake the first time. I changed it again from tanh to pid and now everything works. I'm just looking for an explanation of how the 3 variables affect the control. It's not explained very well on the ESPHome page.

I have an important question: I have actuators from dtn thermotune 2. I measured the resistance, 27.5 ohms. This gave me the standard bemf value of 0.105.

All control valves do the same thing: when they are open and I close them, they close to about 50% and then it reaches the bemf trigger, they stop and show closed. When I then open them again, the same thing happens. It opens to about 50% and then the trigger comes, it stops and shows closed. Is that normal or can I set somewhere how far the maximum travel should be?

The most important thing: the valve only opens in the first 10% from closed to open. So at 5% it is about half open and at 10 it is already fully open.
Can I set it so that it only goes from 0 to 10%? Or so that 10% corresponds to 100%?

Your thermotune valves are standalone controlled. How do you link them with the controller ?

sorry. here is my setting. the valves are realy easy to open. hope it is not a mistake to use them

Try to setup bemf_trigger_1 to 2.0V and make a run test.
You will see the real bemf value of your valves at stall position.
Do not let run the motor at stall position more than 10 seconds if you do not want to damage it.
Substract 10% and you'll have a good bemf trigger value.

nr1 (opening) and nr2 (closing) are with bemf trigger 0,105
nr3 (opening) und nr4 (closing) with trigger 2,0 and stopped manually
highest peak is 0,59v. so it is correct to set bemf trigger to ~0,5v

exactly, your bemf is approx 0.5V.
