A list of terms we use in our documentation and their definitions:

  • App: an instance of your project that a user chooses from the App Gallery.
  • App Gallery: a list of all apps in the Movable Ink Dashboard.
  • Developer: You, the one using the MDK.
  • MDK: The Movable Developer Kit, consisting of both the command line movable tool as well as the GUI editor.
  • Platform: Movable Ink's hosted environment that renders and serves content to recipients.
  • Project repository: a git repository containing the files for your project.
  • Recipient: Someone who receives an email containing Movable Ink content.
  • Studio: Movable Ink's WYSIWYG content creation environment.
  • Tag: a layer created in Studio, which gets rendered as a <div> element in the app.
  • User: The person selecting your app from the App Gallery and configuring it.
