DFU mode

DFU update enables you to update the lnDSO150 firmware simply over USB. You must have a version with a bootloader (i.e. not a unit with a CH32F103) and a USB connector plugin

Entering DFU

When in DFU mode, the screen will display a USB logo with a small animated circle. DFU There are 3 ways to enter DFU :

  • Automatically: If the firmware is detected as being corrupted you'll go automatically to DFU
  • DFU-util will reboot the DSO into DFU mode
  • If you press the "OK" button while powering on the DSO, it will go to DFU mode

If it was by mistake, just reboot the unit.

DFU update

You can now update or reflash the product using dfu-util for example

dfu-util -d 1d50:6021 -s 0x08002000:leave -D xxxxx.bin

Ignore the dfu-util error at the end, then reboot the unit.
