“Multi-omics Analyses of Facial Skin in Acne Identify Distinct Microbial and Metabolic Features at Lesional and Non-lesional Sites.”

This study longitudinally profiles the skin microbiome and metabolome of 10 women with acne—alongside 10 healthy skin controls, across lesional and non-lesional sites, integrating classical microbiome and metabolomic analyses with machine learning, repeated-measures dimensionality reduction, and multi-omics approaches to uncover individualized, temporally dynamic signatures of disease severity.
