Just wanted to share the solution that works for me on Slurm 18.08. Please let me know if you think this can be refactored in a better way and if that works for you as well on recent Slurm versions. I don't mind maintaining this fork for older Slurm versions if you don't want to take this on you. Otherwise happy to work on further integration.
