INTRODUCTION
-------------
This is basically a Text to Speech application developed for the Android operating system for mobile devices.

It was my summer project (June - July 2011) done as part of Insight project (http://insight.kerala.gov.in/ ) of SPACE (Society For Promotion of Alternative Computing and Employment  - http://www.space-kerala.org/ ) 
 
It is an Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tool which supplement or replace speech or writing for those with impairments in the production or comprehension of spoken or written language.
 
INSTALLATION
 -------------
The apk (Android application package) file is found in the bin directory.
Extract the contents of Proloquo.tar.gz to the root directory of your SDCARD.
The tarball contains the folder Proloquo

DEPENDENCIES
-------------
   (i)  Requires Android 2.2 or later (API Level 8)

MODIFICATIONS
--------------
All resources used in this application (Sounds,Pictures,Text) can be modified by making appropriate changes in the Proloquo directory. 
Sound : eSpeak speech synthesizer
