+### Running `ouroborous-net-viz` in the browser
+
+It is relatively straightforward to run GTK applications like `ouroborous-net-viz` in a web browser. Here is one recipe.
+
+Start a broadway daemon:
+

+In another terminal window, run the visualizer using the broadway backend, ignoring the messages:

+We'd have to add session management and UI components to make this generally useful. Alternatively, it could be packaged as a Docker image.

+### Dependency upgrades, Nix, and CI
+
+- We upgraded [ouroboros-net-sim](./simulation/) to use the latest `io-sim`, `io-classes`, and `si-timers` with very few changes to the source code and with the addition of a new `TimeCompat` module.
+- A nix shell and derivations was also added for the targets in the project.
+- Builds and tests were added to the CI
