Source code of the interactive talkie Operation Sawfish by the German local newspaper "Heilbronner Stimme".
Based on Talkie by Kiln and inspired by InFlight and Verbotene Flugrouten.
The webapp is built with AngularJS, a Javascript framework by Google, which suites for single page web applications. The responsive part is realized with CSS Media Queries. The Talkie Framework by Kiln simplifies the synchronisation of animations and sound. Videogular, a HTML5 video player for projects based on AngularJS, enables the adaption of the audio control elements. For the English version we worked with Angular Translate to load translation tables dynamically. We basically worked with Mapbox Studio and LeafletJS and we used Google Earth for georeferencing and digitalizing the analog maps. To draw lines and polygons on the maps we used WalkwayJS. The SVG graphics are embedded inline and animated with D3JS. Talkie.js simplifies the animation of the elements.
