It adds the vGpu devices tracked in VM's annotation to the VM's vGpu list.

Technical notes summary

Areas or cases that should be tested

Create

  • Create a new Harvester cluster in Rancher, assign 1 or more vGpu devices
  • Wait until a provisioning VM for that cluster is created in Harvester
  • Go to Harvester ->Virtual Machine -> select the provisioning VM-> click on 'Edit Config' action
  • The vGpu tabs should contains the assigned vGpu IDs.

Edit/Remove

  • Edit a Harvester cluster in Rancher, remove/add 1 or more vGpu devices
  • Wait until the provisioning VM for that cluster is updated in Harvester
  • Go to Harvester ->Virtual Machine -> select the provisioning VM-> click on 'Edit Config' action
  • The vGpu list should be updated consistently.

Edit/Remove in Harvester

  • Go to Harvester ->Virtual Machine -> select the provisioning VM-> click on 'Edit Config' action
  • Restart the VM - this is a required step to let Harvester backend updates the vGpu devices previously assigned in Rancher.
  • The vGpu list should be updated consistently.
