Unfortunately, this will not be merged into esp-modbus v1.0.x. I am busy and very limited in what features and fixes can be merged into this version of esp-modbus following the formal process. This issue and some other your requests are minors and do not apply to the functionality of the esp-modbus. Added into todo list. Thank you for understanding.
