New icon and webstore artwork
Exciting times,
When you are able to meet people on the internet (thanks reddit) to collaborate and produce something cool.
Let me introduce you to Casey Labatt Simon who kindly made the icon for Cardboard.
A Material re-design was needed and here is the result.
He also made the artworks for the Chrome Web Store listing to promote the extension.
This is inspired from Google's own artworks for its Play Store apps.
Again a big thank to him.
you can find more of his work here: http://www.caseyls.com
v2.0.2
v2.0.1: Fix for versioning and updating
- Critical Bug Fix that caused the extension not to load properly (almost blank page) after updating from v0.2.4.
Material Design Release
Wheee,
It's been a few rushing weeks since I saw people gathering interest in a better new tab page !
But finally the makeover is good enough to be called v2.
There is still some improvements to be made (and they will be).
Noticeably missing is the ability to re-order cards. It was way more complicated than I though.
The ground work for it is set, but I depend on other developer's works. (ie. angular-packery) to properly implement this feature.
Anyway, let's enjoy what we already have shall we ?
- Such material. much design. wow.
- Google Trends
- See all your bookmarks and folders
- Synced devices and recently closed tabs
- Recent history
- System card. Yeah... nerd !
- Choose a background from URL
Life is also better for us, developers:
- Uses bower to manage dependencies
- Uses gulp to build the deployment-ready files
