This repository contains the source files for the SBML.org website, refreshed in 2019-2021.
This is the repository for the completely redesigned SBML.org website, introduced in 2020. The new site is designed as a static site generated using Hugo and mostly written in Markdown. Changes to the site are achieved by editing the files in this git repository and merging the changes into the master branch, whereupon the web server for SBML.org will automatically notice them after a time and update the site pages.
Documentation about this site and the server configuration are kept in the subdirectory support-docs. Please start with the README file in that directory to learn more.
If you find an issue, please submit it in the GitHub issue tracker for this repository. Alternatively, you are welcome to contact the author or the SBML Team via email with questions about this repository.
This site incorporates Hugo Academic. Those files are distributed under their own license.

The design, organization, look and feel, custom Hugo shortcodes, and many other elements of the site, and much of its content, were created by Mike Hucka over time during the years 2018–2020. The initial starting point was the Academic theme for Hugo, but in the end, very little of the theme wound up being present in the visible parts of the site.
The SBML.org website uses Hugo, a framework for creating static websites.
The development of SBML.org was made possible thanks to funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to the California Institute of Technology, under grant number GM070923 (principal investigator: Michael Hucka), as well as general support by the California Institute of Technology.
