getdefaultlocale() is deprecated and will be removed in Python 3.15.

@bje- thanks for the PR. We can merge this. We are working on new workflows for merging fixes and making releases as maintenance transitions from @chriskiehl to me, but I hope we can make some progress shortly. |

pytestis emitting a warning aboutgetdefaultlocale()being removed in Python 3.15.getdefaultlocale()is deprecated. Thegetlocale()function has been in Python forever, so it's a safe change.
