Just a list of books I'm reading, have recently read or am planning on reading
I try to link to goodreads.com for each book, and if it is a part of a series I mention that in brackets behind the book name (Name of Series #BookNumber). I'll try to take the time soon to mark the ones I found noteworthy with some kind of emoji.
Feel free to add suggestions via PR in here.
⏸️ Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
Audible released a new version of the complete collection narrated by Stephen Fry, with introductions for each story by Stephen Fry. A solid deal for audible members (only 1 credit!).
⏸️ Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay by J.K. Rowling
Gathering Blue (Giver Quartet #2) by Lois Lowry

I've backdated all my audible listens (since I can easily do so by reviewing my purchases and listens in the Audible app), so these are obviously not ALL books I've ever read, but at least most of the books I've read in the last 3 years. Books are listed in the month they were finished.

Buy a Bullet (Orphan X/Evan Smoak #2) by Gregg Hurwitz

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Was inspired to read it after watching the Netflix series. Very different from the series, which is reasonable for a book vs 13 episodes. Hearing Hanna's side read was a very different experience from watching it though.
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Cannot recommend this book enough, especially in the current political climate.

The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant (Fred, the Vampire Accountant #1) by Drew Hayes
Yeah well… Guess I just had to finish it, didn't I 🙄
I honestly don't know why I kept going, most of this is literally explaining maneuvers and other not so exciting things.
Meh… If you like war, and space, and the idea of mixing the two, it's probably an interesting series.
Rip-Off!* by Several authors
13 writers of speculative fiction pick a favorite opening line from a classic piece of literature, then use it as the first sentence of an entirely original short story. Some definitely better than others, but worth a listen.
I used to read all the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid, and loved them. Just had to try them out again, with a new adult perspective.
This one was a bit … weird. Will probably not read the rest of the series.
@berglind got me hooked on this series. Can definitely recommend for dystopian future fans.
Decided to check this one out since my brother in law's acting group will be performing it soon and I'm handling some graphic design and website development for them. Can definitely recommend, touches on topics like islamophobia, traditions etc.
Decided to do yet another re-read of Harry Potter, been a while since the last one and felt like reminiscing. Also, first time via Audible.
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy #2) by Douglas Adams
The Art of Procrastination: A Guide to Effective Dawdling, Lollygagging, and Postponing, or, Getting Things Done by Putting Them Off by John Perry
A must read for, well, everyone. Sometimes wish I could just shove this in people's faces when they start going about introverts.
