  • there is a PR against VCStool that would allow for Git submodules, thus allowing for transitive dependencies
    • Add git submodule support (to detect submodule repos) dirk-thomas/vcstool#272
  • rosdep is not version-aware. This often leads to problems when not doing apt upgrade. This is missing in the docs.
  • @mojomex will update Autoware docs to mention apt update && apt upgrade
