This is the meeting for the AsyncAPI Special Interest Group (SIG). You're invited to join us and ask questions. The meeting takes place on alternate Tuesdays. Recordings from the previous meetings are available in this playlist on YouTube.

This time we meet at 8 UTC

Join this mailing list to get an always-up-to-date invite to the meeting in your calendar. You can also check AsyncAPI Calendar.

Agenda

Don't wait for the meeting to discuss topics that already have issues. Feel free to comment on them earlier.

  1. Q&A
  2. Place for your topic
  3. spec 2.4 release scheduled for April - by @smoya
  4. bindings and their relation to schemas - by @jonaslagoni
  5. Q&A

Notes

  • Lame Lukasz was late and the meeting had to be organized at hoc by amazing Sergio Moya under a different Zoom link.
  • Work on spec 2.4 kicked off.
  • Jonas brought up the issue Move binding JSON schema files to main JSON schema repository bindings#113 that is related to the unresolved discussion about the location of JSON Schema files related to specification bindings. During the call Khuda volunteered that he can have a look and try to answer a question on how bindings releasing could look like, and how would it affect JSON Schemas, whether they are in bindings repo or spec-json-schema repos.
  • In regards to the mentorship program. We were waiting for community feedback on Mentorship program #284. Now we just need to summarize and submit it to Technical Steering Committee for voting. Lukasz (me) will handle that.

@derberg I would like to add a new topic for the agenda: Mentioning the efforts for the release of v2.4.0 of the spec has been initiated and it is planned to happen in April 2022. To mention a few links of interest and raise awareness for contributors.
