Road Case Information
Cheesy Arena is controlled from an approximately 32' long scoring table located field side.
Place the road case at the middle of the table with the network switch and AV patch panel facing away from the field. At Chezy Champs, the field technicians are located to the right of the road case (when facing the field). The MC, game announcer, and DJ are located to the left of the road case.
The road case contains equipment for both running Cheesy Arena, and for Video. All connections needed to interface with the road case are broken out to either the patch panel, or to the network switch.
Under no circumstances shall you modify any of the wiring inside the case without contacting Team 254.
The road case contains two computers:
- Computer 1 runs the video switcher control utility, and the audience display.
- Computer 2 runs the Cheesy Arena event server, the arena sounds, and can be used to play videos during event ceremonies.
Four monitors are connected (via HDMI) to the road case. From left to right:
- Cheesy Arena Computer
- Auxiliary Video Output
- Video Switcher / Overlay Computer
- Video Switcher Multiview
Two sets of wireless keyboards & mice are used to control the two computers. Note that both computers are configured with two video outputs - the auxiliary video output can be switched to view the second output from either of the computers.
