Faster Simulation

There is a tradeoff between performance and accuracy. Because this software is designed mainly for creating grain packs, you can sacrifice some accuracy to grain performance. This can be done by a number of ways.

I am noticing that the grain pack does not stabilize at the end of the simulation. What can I do?

First make sure that shaking is not activated. If it is not, the issue can be mitigated by increase the accuracy of the simulation by one or more of the following:

  • Increase the contact offset.
  • Decrese the fixed delta time.
  • Increase the sleep threshold.
  • Increase the bounce threshold.
  • Increase the solver iteration count.
  • Increase the velocity solver iteration count.
