I think this would be a good candidate for a more data-driven approach. Maybe we can extract all the texture strings in some kind of file? In best case, this would also be independent from Bukkit or WorldEdit/WorldGuard.

From a json file it would fit smoothly imo. Making it independent from any API is okay, but we need WE/Bukkit to show them as items 😅

Yes, we can have adapters for it, but the API should be separate.
