Now that the official scikit-learn certification has been launched, more and more people will use the mooc as a reference to prepare themselves. It would then make sense if the certification points to the mooc and vice-versa, to improve legitimacy.

What is the position of Inria Academy, Inria Learning Lab, and Inria in this mix?
I just don't want to make any upset :)

The message is to appear only on the landing page of the static version of the mooc. So at this level, none of those institutions should be affected. But I'm also pinging @GaelVaroquaux for his advice on this.

The copyright belong to them by checking the bottom of the page.

Je profite de ce fil de discussion pour vous parler de la position d'Inria Learning Lab sur les nouveaux certificats. Je voulais justement vous en parler.

  1. normalement, nous n'avons pas le droit de promouvoir des prestations payantes depuis le Mooc sans l'accord de FUN. Par contre, on peut toujours leur demander une dérogation :
  • pour en parler dans le Mooc (dans la page des badges par exemple ou celle qui présente les évaluations)
  • pour envoyer un mail aux inscrits les informant des certifications.

Pas sûre que ça marche mais on peut toujours essayer. Le problème est que FUN propose de délivrer des certifications. Aviez-vous envisagé cette possibilité ?

  1. si le nombre d'inscrits augmente beaucoup et dépasse le quota actuel, il faudra sûrement discuter du budget OVH (ou renégocier avec eux)

That is why the message "Get officially certified" introduced by this PR would only appear in the landing page of the jupyter book, not on FUN, as is today the case of the "Join the full MOOC" message.
