 <p>This Summer I will be interning for The Bitcoin Layer as their Content Manager where I will help managing and orchestrating the company’s social channels and content. Due to the holiday weekend at the start of my internship, meeting my mentor for onboarding was a bit postponed. After a brief time meeting Matt, my mentor, proved to be more exciting and joyous as I learned a bit about Matthew’s background as a designer. His background and current position as a Lead UX/UI Designer at Fortune 500 company GE affords Matt the experience needed to teach me how to operate within corporate spaces. </p>
 <p>     I have always been intrigued by the process of how corporate entities aggregate objectives and align designers with the objective that best matched their goal. My day-to-day process includes reviewing emails and discord messages from the previous night or weekend if it is a Monday. When it comes to my design process, I tend to go straight to sketching first impressions. Doing so helps me relieve myself of eager ideas and even rid myself of previous bias before proceeding to my next step. </p>

Usually this process allows me to critique my sketches to evolve the most promising ideas and communicate them better. After researching other media outlets within the Bitcoin community I was able to notice a trend that transcended all social channels. </p>
 <p>     Many social channels lack a dedicated stylization for their brand and often lack clear typographic hierarchy leading to poor legibility. To alleviate that concern I created a brief typographic system that will help carry communication internally as well as consumer-facing. I more defined type system that’s also cohesive with the branding also allows the brand appear more premium and reliable which within objective and even company slogan.
