Scala and sbt Dockerfile

Scala and sbt container.

Useful for building in environments like CircleCI v2.

Base Docker Image

• openjdk:8-jdk-alpine

Installation

1. Install Docker
2. Pull automated build from public Docker Hub Registry:
3. See tags for built specific versions (not the latest ones)

docker pull gnames/scala-sbt-jdk

Alternatively, you can build an image from Dockerfile:

docker build -t scala-sbt-jdk github.com/gnames/scala-sbt-jdk

Or with specific versions:

docker build -t scala-sbt-jdk --build-arg SCALA_VERSION=2.12.1 --build-arg SBT-VERSION=0.13.15 github.com/gnames/scala-sbt-jdk

Usage

docker run -it --rm gnames/scala-sbt-jdk /bin/bash
