Pre-release
  • Added the Construction Cannon
    • Shift right click to open the gui
    • Select a material, construct, and placement settings
    • Any survival-obtainable block in a material's set can be used as input for the cannon
  • Added building blocks
    • There's about 300, including slabs/stairs/walls/facades!
  • Added Pedestal Buttons
    • Right click a pedestal button with a hammer to open the gui
    • Press time, offset, and whether or not the button should have an additional baseplate can all be changed
  • Added Floor Buttons
    • Now are proper multiblocks
    • Can be pressed by any entity that can press a stone pressure plate
      • Cube buttons can only be pressed by cubes, of course
  • Added Props
    • Grabbed with G, and rebindable from the keybinds menu
    • Whether or not another player can snatch the prop you're holding is now controlled by a gamerule, defaulting to true
  • Added Magnesium
    • A new ore used for Portal Cubed crafting
    • Generates from y=32 to y=-16 with roughly the same abundancy as Iron
    • Can be used as an armor trim material and beacon base block

Some other notes about the alpha:

  • Portal Cubed is now on 1.20.4
  • There's no Portal Gun/Portals yet. They're simply not finished yet, and will be part of Alpha 2.
  • While just about everything does have a recipe, it isn't recommended to use this version in survival. Many of them are placeholders/not final.
  • OLD MAPS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE. If you try and load a world from pre-rewrite versions, you will lose blocks. We know people have put a lot of effort into custom maps using Portal Cubed, so in the future I plan on making a datapack to help convert the blocks in old worlds to the new IDs in the rewrite.
