* some tests were broken after Jest update. Library has breaking changes (see: https://jestjs.io/blog/2016/10/03/jest-16#test-library-updates)
* run linter on the project

test.js, it was picked up by Jest test runner (maybe because of the name), and causes issues. Seems like added to test the huge dependency update PR.
