Is it necessary to pin here? Core and inputs should be already be at Lit 3.

It's temporary. We will migrate to core/input-date

Since this component is deprecated, these changes are temporary. I strongly recommend
avoidingthis component and using https://github.com/BrightspaceUI/core/blob/main/components/inputs/input-date.js instead
