Export
Once you're satisfied with your board, all you need to do is export some files for the printing process.
Go to Files > Fabrication Outputs > Gerber Files
In the setup, choose the following settings:
- Units: Millimeters
- Format: 4:4
- Layers: plot the following:
- GTO (Top Overlay)
- GBL (Bottom Layer)
- GM1 (Mechanical 1) if you defined a contour for the board
You also need to export the holes.
Go to Files > Fabrication Outputs > NC Drill Files
and choose the same precision as for the Gerber file (millimeters and 4:4).
The resulting file is a .txt
in the project folder.
Acid etching needs a black an white stencil.
You can generate one by simply printing your design in File > Print...
However, you first need to setup your page in File > Page Setup...
First, change the scale mode to Scaled Print
and a scale of 1.00
.
Also choose Mono
as the colour set.
Then in the Advanced
menu, keep only the layers you want to print.
In general, it should be Bottom Layer
and Keep-Out Layer
.
You thus need to select all the other ones and delete them.
Check Top
, Bottom
, Double Sided
, Holes
and Design Views
. You do not need to mirror it.
