New SEAL Kit Software Roadmap

Andres Torres edited this page Apr 29, 2021 · 1 revision

Originally, for this project I had somewhat large ambitions for what this software would ultimately be, but for now these ambitions must be placed on hold due to the limited time I have remaining with the SEAL kit (you are a goomba for dragging your feet so long on this project and literally doing nothing smh).

The project will now focus on three goals, with two of them being absolutely essential to complete before the deadline for returning the SEAL kit approaches.

  1. The software must be compatible with Windows 10 — and ideally should also be backwards compatible with Windows 7. ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL (this is kind of the whole point of the project)
  2. The software must be suitable for collecting data on a plate which is outlined in the Testing a Plate Solar Army Notion page. ABSOLUETLY ESSENTIAL (if this condition is not met then the software is essentially useless)
  3. The software should have the ability to automatically update itself. This feature is not absolutely necessary like the other features above but would be very nice so that the software could continue to be updated even after I no longer have the SEAL kit in my possession.
