Seems there has been no activity for a while and tickets are not responded to. Is the project still alive / maintainer(s) still active?

Hi sorry for the delay in responding. zio-cache is one of the projects that are still maintained, although at the moment we're emphasising bug fixes rather than implementing new features. PRs for new features are more than welcome though!
