Is your enhancement related to a problem?
WIthout this option, making units play the animation in the right place (e.g. sit on a chair, lay on a bench), is not possible due to collisions/physics.
Solution you'd like:
Add a optional checkbox in the ambient animation menu. When set true, the unit will be attached to an invisble object, so you can place the unit in the correct spot without being blocked by collisions etc. Must obviously be detached when entering combat mode.
Alternatives you've considered:
None.
Additional context:
This feature already exists in "3den Enhanced" in the units attributes under the ambient animation section added by that mod. However this only helps with mission pre-placed units, not live on the fly.
