Key modifier to open a link in split view

Just as Ctrl + Click opens link in a new tab, Ctrl + Alt + Click should open a link in split view. I believe Obsidian has similar functionality. Simple feature which enhances productivity 10x. Thank you!

(And likewise, as Middle Click currently opens a link in a new tab, so should Alt + Middle Click open the link in split view.)

Yes I would love that. I use the feature daily in Arc by having a video call open in one App, open another tab with alt+click next to it and share only the one tab in split view.
