Good news, Zen has had that feature for a long time, they're just called something different, so people often get confused. Pinned tabs are what you're looking for, they're exactly the same as Essentials except only apply to the current workspace (so, probably what you want). They also look slightly different from Essentials. Instead of small rounded rectangle icons, they look like normal tabs. They're still docked to the top above normal tabs, just below the (global) Essentials you were using before. If you want pinned tabs to look like Essentials, install the Superpins mod and enable that option in its settings page. It's a similar process to adding essentials. You right-click on the tab you want, but select 'Pin Tab' instead of 'Add to Essentials'. Many people find it useful to have both Essentials (global, for the things you always need) and pinned tabs (workspace-specific, for things you often need individual to specific spaces). For example, you might be someone who constantly checks their email whatever they're doing, so that would go in Essentials (not saying you are, it's just as an example.) You would 'pin' YouTube in your 'home' workspace (or wherever you want it), and now if you switched to your 'work' workspace you would still see your email as an essential but not YouTube because you pinned it to a different workspace. In terms of the container-specific thing; hey, if it works how you want it to now, that's good. But containers are a completely different thing, so just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. The container-specific Essentials setting does make them workspace-specific but it's for people who use containers assigned to workspaces. If you don't use containers, you may as well just pin the tab! That's why the feature exists. And it's your choice whether to stay on Arc. I hear the Browser Company have not been the best recently with all their AI hype but if you like Arc better that's perfectly fine. Just check back in on Zen every once in a while! If you really like those Chrome extensions, you could email the devs to ask if they've considered a Firefox version. Edit note: added a lot after a few months of new replies |

I was about to open the same feature request because I couldn’t find this setting either. I’m currently trying to migrate from Arc to Zen, and I suppose (or suggest) that this container-specific isolation should be the default behavior. It really improves the experience when separating work and personal spaces. Thanks for pointing it out! |

No problem. But I feel I am going to Stay with Arc because it has some of the extensions I need that I cannot find on FireFox Add ons and its elements look much more nicer and the browser its self feels more sleek. |

I think that's the function of the pin tab, the essential tab is like the name suggests something you need in every workspace. |

Another feature that is keeping me form switching to Zen is that the essentials tabs are the same fro every workspace. I have youtube pinned to my essentials and that is somthing i defiently will not be using for work so it should be separate for a better user experience
