Zed not adding files to current workspace from terminal

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

Running the following command:
zed --add
does not create a file in the currently open Workspace( I am assuming a "Workspace" is a currently open instance of zed ).

Environment

Zed: v0.167.0 (Zed Dev 5318f52)
OS: Linux X11 arch unknown
Memory: 15.3 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU || NVIDIA || 560.35.03
