Some patterns use ^ character but it doesn't seem to work (at least in Chrome and Firefox in Debian/sid, but people seem to have the same problem under OSX). You can try with uk/uk-kbd for instance (it is supposed to output : but ^ is displayed.

Tested. It seems working with Chrome + Debian/Sid. I will try with other browsers and report here.

Strange, on Chrome 45.0.2454.85 (just updated) and Debian/sid it doesn't work...

In fact it does work when I change my layout to qwerty where ^ is just on keystroke... I'm usually in azerty where ^ requires two keystrokes (twice on the same key, the first does nothing, the second outputs ^). Other people in Asia encountered the problem, I'll ask them how they produce ^ on their keyboard. Anyway, do you think it would be fixable for azerty?

@g1ahsia can you describe the OS/keyboard layout producing the bug with ^ on the Sambhota demo I've shown you?

So it seems that only Azerty keyboad has problems with this.
