A question: Why not delete the entire dir ~/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate

Hi I am rather inexperienced, which is why I'm wondering:

Given I don't have any other google products on my mac, would it still lead to any problems if I deleted the entire ~/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate dir?

Or am I always somehow dependent on google products even when using alternative browsers?

@ilante to be honest, I haven't used any other google apps on my mac too, so you can try it?
