When recording, audio from other individuals in Google Hangouts or Voice chat in Valve's Dota 2 for Linux client is not picked up by the script.

I'm on Ubuntu 13.10. Fiddling with various values in Pulse Audio Volume Control has not resolved the issue.

is possible to see some screenshots of the pavucontrol of the recording and playback options?
ps: make the screenshots while you have dota and the script running.

No problem, I'll send you this tonight. Do you just need those two tabs?

Under Recording:
FFMPEG -> NULL Loopback
1st NULL Output -> Microphone Device (i don't know how it is called there)
Under Playback:
Dota2 (is this the game, right?) -> NULL Output
Loopback from built-in audio analog -> Logitech Wireless Headset (to make you hear the sounds)

After applying these settings, I could not hear other people's microphones. I also have no NULL Loopback option in the recording tab, I only have two "Monitor of NULL Outputs." I'm not sure what you mean by "microphone device."

add also gameoverlayui to null output, and etc..
you have to set to null output everything you want to hear or make the other people hear.

OK, I'll try that next. Is it OK that FFMPEG cannot be directed to NULL
Loopback?

wait, what? no. it's not normal.
under recording, ffmpeg MUST has NULL Output, otherwise, people on your stream will not hear anything.

ffmpeg can direct to two different NULL Outputs, but not to NULL Loopback as you originally stated. What should I set it to?

ffmpeg one of the two null outputs. (they are the same)
