Wait for getters update inside an action?

My store is set up like this:

I'm calling getFinalCurrentApproval twice. Ideally, I'd like to avoid that repetition. In action setCurrentApproval, I'd like to directly access getter finalCurrentApproval with its value updated from the assignment I did on the previous line. Is that possible? For example, some kind of function returning a promise that I can wait for, after which getters are updated?
